We collect farm operational data, animal records (health, weight, breeding history), camera feeds from connected devices, environmental sensor readings, and user account information including name, email, and farm details provided during registration.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your data powers our AI processing for disease detection, behavior analysis, growth predictions, and farm optimization recommendations. We also use aggregated, anonymized data to improve our models and provide industry benchmarking insights.
3. Camera & AI Data
Video feeds from connected cameras are processed in real time by our AI models to detect anomalies, monitor animal behavior, and identify potential health issues. Camera data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and raw video is retained for a configurable period before automatic deletion.
4. Data Storage & Security
All data is stored on encrypted cloud infrastructure with strict access controls. We employ industry-standard encryption (AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit), regular security audits, and role-based access to ensure your farm data remains protected.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal or farm data to third parties. Data may be shared with integrated third-party services only at your explicit request, such as veterinary platforms or feed suppliers you choose to connect through HogCare. Sub-processors we rely on include Stripe (billing), PostHog (analytics, with consent), Sentry (error monitoring), Google & Microsoft (OAuth sign-in, if used), and OpenWeatherMap (weather data).
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time through your account settings. We comply with GDPR (EU/UK), CCPA / CPRA (California), and applicable data protection regulations. Data export is available in standard formats including CSV and JSON. California residents may exercise the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” right by emailing privacy@hogcare.io.
